Lee enjoyed putzing around in his garage making things and will be remembered as a very handy person. He continued living in Selby the rest of his life. Lee worked as a contractor until retiring at age 62. He then returned to Selby where he started his own business, Roebuck Construction. Following a work related injury to his back, Lee enrolled at Lake Area Vo-Tech in Watertown, SD where he completed the architectural drafting program. In 1958, they returned to the Selby-Bowdle area where Lee did construction work. They first settled in Lewiston, Idaho where Lee worked at a saw mill. This is where he was brought up and attended rural school. Lee Roy Roebuck, son of Leah (Berreth) and William Robuck, was born Januat the family farm north of Bowdle.
